Jerome David "J. D." Salinger (IPA: [ˈsælɪndʒər], SAL-in-jər; January 1, 1919 – January 27, 2010) was an American author, best known for his 1951 novel The Catcher in the Rye, as well as his reclusive nature. His last original published work was in 1965; he gave his last interview in 1980.

Raised in Manhattan, Salinger began writing short stories while in secondary school, and published several stories in the early 1940s before serving in World War II. In 1948 he published the critically acclaimed story "A Perfect Day for Bananafish" in The New Yorker magazine, which became home to much of his subsequent work. In 1951 Salinger released his novel The Catcher in the Rye, an immediate popular success. His depiction of adolescent alienation and loss of innocence in the protagonist Holden Caulfield was influential, especially among adolescent readers.[2] The novel remains widely read and controversial,[3] selling around 250,000 copies a year.

The success of The Catcher in the Rye led to public attention and scrutiny: Salinger became reclusive, publishing new work less frequently. He followed Catcher with a short story collection, Nine Stories (1953), a collection of a novella and a short story, Franny and Zooey (1961), and a collection of two novellas, Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters and Seymour: An Introduction (1963). His last published work, a novella entitled "Hapworth 16, 1924," appeared in The New Yorker on June 19, 1965.

~Sail On Sail On Sailor~

Indeed Breezy is Seabreeze .. smiles .. Quite alive , full of passion and dreams...
But it is the Sea that takes hold of her spirit and drives her beyond ..Hard to put into words , Its a feeling , a delightful high and longing that has captivated her since childhood .. For The Sea as Romantic and mysterious and exciting as it can be also can be sad and heartbreaking......
But today is a True Magical adventure .. Today Breezy takes all along on her
solo maiden voyage with Her Brand New Very Own Trade Wind by
Ms.Jacqueline Trudeau
gifted to her by Her Amazing Partner Dear Rafael !!!
In no time Breezy was rezzed and good to go !!!
Catching a wind and WoW
Hoist The Sails ... grins ..

I must say The name is quite fitting for this sweet Gem !! Indeed The Trade Wind caught the Wind light breezes and sailed and sailed crossing sim after sim in the Blake Sea ..but then ....................... Oh My !!!! .. golly .. well .. we can't have this .. no no .. in no time Breezy tidied up her little floor of the sea mess .. grins .. come come it can happen .. Sim crossings You know ..Suggestion ((take back to your inventory asap and tp back to closest dock and start again ))
By chance that was not too far .. and Breezy used her outboard engine to catch a new Wind..
and and in no time ..................................................weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Back on Course Breezy be ...

(Brian Wilson)
I sailed an ocean, unsettled ocean
Through restful waters and deep commotion
Often frightened, unenlightened
Sail on, sail on sailor
I wrest the waters, fight Neptune's waters
Sail through the sorrows of life's marauders
Unrepenting, often empty
Sail on, sail on sailor
Caught like a sewer rat alone but I sail
Bought like a crust of bread, but oh do I wail
Seldom stumble, never crumble
Try to tumble, life's a rumble
Feel the stinging I've been given
Never ending, unrelenting
Heartbreak searing, always fearing
Never caring, persevering
Sail on, sail on, sailor
I work the seaways, the gale-swept seaways
Past shipwrecked daughters of wicked waters
Uninspired, drenched and tired
Wail on, wail on, sailor
Always needing, even bleeding
Never feeding all my feelings
Damn the thunder, must I blunder
There's no wonder all I'm under
Stop the crying and the lying
And the sighing and my dying
Sail on, sail on sailor
Ah as for the song .. a brief explanation .. It is By Brian Wilson of Beach Boys Fame
But the song is a true Blues Number (grins) hence why I picked this version, if you read the words one will feel and hear the true meaning of the song ..Indeed the Ocean, a mistress..
never be beat ..She will break heart after heart
real one in .. One can either relax and enjoy her or .. be wrestled to try and rule her ..
that's just the way it is ..The Sea always Wins .. but what a thrill ..ahhh what a ride ..
smiles .. thanks for stopping see ya next time ..

Here I Love You
Here I love you. In the dark pines the wind disentangles itself.

The moon glows like phosphorous on the vagrant waters.
Days, all one kind, go chasing each other.

The snow unfurls in dancing figures.
A silver gull slips down from the west.
Sometimes a sail. High, high stars. Oh the black cross of a ship.
Alone.Sometimes I get up early and even my soul is wet.
Far away the sea sounds and resounds. This is a port.
Here I love you.

Here I love you and the horizon hides you in vain.
I love you still among these cold things.
Sometimes my kisses go on those heavy vessels
that cross the sea towards no arrival.
I see myself forgotten like those old anchors.
The piers sadden when the afternoon moors there.
My life grows tired, hungry to no purpose.
I love what I do not have. You are so far.
My loathing wrestles with the slow twilights.
But night comes and starts to sing to me.
The moon turns its clockwork dream.
The biggest stars look at me with your eyes.
And as I love you,
the pines in the wind want to sing your name with their leaves of wire

Margo returns .. and..............................

Margo returns ..... she walked right into the Lab .....

Placed her music box on the table ... sigh .....
played the music box with caution !!
the song !!!!!!
Familar to all in New Babbage ....
Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey Chim chim cher-ee!
A sweep is as lucky, as lucky can be
Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey Chim chim cher-oo!
Good luck will rub off when I shakes 'ands with you
Or blow me a kiss and that's lucky too
Now, as the ladder of life 'as been strung
You might think a sweep's on the bottom most rung
Though I spends me time in the ashes and smoke
In this 'ole wide world there's no 'appier bloke
Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey Chim chim cher-ee!
A sweep is as lucky, as lucky can be
Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey Chim chim cher-oo!
Good luck will rub off when I shakes 'ands with you
Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey Chim chim cher-ee!
A sweep is as lucky, as lucky can be
Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey Chim chim cher-oo!
Good luck will rub off when I shakes 'ands with you
I choose me bristles with pride, yes, I do
A broom for the shaft and a brush for the flute
Up where the smoke is all billered and curled
'Tween pavement and stars is the chimney sweep world
When there's 'ardly no day nor 'ardly no night
There's things 'alf in shadow and 'alfway in light
On the rooftops of London coo, what a sight!
Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim-in-ey Chim chim cher-ee!
When you're with a sweep you're in glad company
Nowhere is there a more 'appier crew
Than them wot sings, "Chim chim cher-ee, chim cher-oo!"
On the Chim chim-in-ey, chim chim cher-ee, chim cher-oo!

went back to rubys to think ... and have a cup of coffee
((yes thats it a nice warm cup perhaps laced with some ameretto *wink*))
Thinking thinking .. breezy must think ..

clues perhaps ..
"Now, as the ladder of life 'as been strung"
ah and ...
"Up where the smoke is all billered and curled
'Tween pavement and stars is the chimney sweep world
When there's 'ardly no day nor 'ardly no night
There's things 'alf in shadow and 'alfway in light"

.....ponders ....
hummm interesting bio links perhaps should be read more ...
In his work on sea urchins, dividing cells of the embryo after the first cell-division, he expected each cell to develop into the corresponding half of the animal to which it has been destined or preprogrammed, but instead found that each developed into a complete sea urchin. This also happened at the four-cell stage: entire larvae ensued from each of the four cells, albeit smaller than usual. Driesch's findings brought about the adoption of the terms "totipotent" and "pluripotent" cell, referring respectively to a cell that can generate every cell in an organism and one that can generate nearly every cell. Driesch's results were confirmed with greater precision by Hans Spemann.

. Although he was trained as a clinical doctor, he spent his career in experimental biology. His doctoral thesis on the embryological development of blood vessels was a seminal early study in biophysical modelling, a milestone in the study of the cardio-vascular system.
director of his own Institute of Embryology in 1879.
Just not sure .. perhaps the Sea not the sky .. perhaps the Sea near the Sky ..

A Kiss From ~ Kembri's "Goddess in Gold"

Greetings breezy does have a special treat ... It is a hot little number from Miss Kembri Tomsen's new line Glamewear ...
Now it has been my humble experiance that Each gown ie creation tells a story
from the designer's side
where it came, how they were inspired ,the song or perhaps the journey they were taken on during its creation.. Miss Kembri is very good with sharing that process
see below and then Breezy shall share where the Dress took her once she put it on
complete with a poem, song and setting .. smiles
The Dress
Goddess in Gold
The First in a New Collection called
Miss Kembri Tomsen
Thank you very much for purchasing this dress! It's based on a real gown, as always, but more than a bit of additional work was done by me. I needed a hot gown for a gala, black tie event, and this one just begged to be made. So I did! This is a 1950's gold lame wiggle dress. The 1950's wiggle dresses were called that because they were tight and women tended to wiggle more in them. Or at least that wiggle was a lot more apparent! This gorgeous dress made me smile the first time I saw it. As my sister, Ghilayne said, it sings to me. So I had to do it!There are no undergarments with this gown. I would suggest you go to 1-800 Bettie's and purchase her stockings (they have a great line on the back of the leg!) and undergarment set. Ingenue also has some gorgeous period undergarments. There's other places on the grid to get garter belts, bras and stockings.I really hope you have fun in this dress. I did! It's the first in the Glamwear line. I've several 1940's and 1950's gowns that I wanted to add to the line.Have you figured out by now that I like to bop from era to era? I do. I love sparkly pretties of all eras, and when I see something that catches my attention, chances are eventually it'll be here. I hope, as always, that you enjoy this purchase!
Cordially yours,Kembri Tomsen
The Curious Seamstress
Greenwood Designs"
The poem
by Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Where true Love burns Desire is Love's pure flame;
It is the reflex of our earthly frame, That takes its meaning from the nobler part,
And but translates the language of the heart.
The Song
Speak Low (Bent Remix)
Billie Holiday
Speak low when you speak, love
Our summer day withers away too soon, too soon
Speak low when you speak, love

Our moment is swift, like ships adrift,
we're swept apart, too soon
Speak low, darling, speak low
Love is a spark, lost in the dark too soon, too soon

I feel wherever I go that tomorrow is near,
tomorrow is here and always too soon
Time is so old and love so brief

Love is pure gold and time a thief
We're late, darling, we're late

The curtain descends, ev'rything ends too soon, too soon
I wait, darling, I wait
Will you speak low to me,
speak love to me and soon
The Night is full of mystery .. hot and dark .. the waves splashing .. misting breezy's face
she longs to smell the cigar.. ah perhaps a pipe that sweet signature aroma.. smiles silly little things
you see they are the best .. For they last and last ..
You see true private dreams and desires are just personal not to be told or shared ever ..
ah except one day .. smiles with a certain someone .. perhaps one day ..
The song , Oh breezy heard it in her head the moment she tried on the dress ..
the rest ((smiles)) are wounderous day dreams .. exciting .... fun and ............grins ..
thank YOU to my good friend Miss Kembri
on this for giving my own passion an extra lift to expand and dream in ...
as Cocoa Chanel always used to say
Wear The Fantasy ... Indeed ....
smiles....wavessss and twirls
